The appropriate course depends on your workplace first aid needs assessment. Lower risk workplaces may identify Emergency First Aid at Work as suitable, while larger or higher risk environments may require employees holding the full First Aid at Work qualification. How long is a First Aid at Work qualification valid?
A successful First Aid at Work learner will receive a qualification that is valid for three years. The qualification should be renewed before its expiry date. Annual refresher training is also recommended to help qualified first aiders maintain their knowledge and practical confidence.
How long does the Emergency First Aid at Work course take?
Emergency First Aid at Work is normally completed over one day and includes at least six hours of practical and theoretical training.
